I’ve previously listed the LP candidates here, here, here and here. Now, George Donnelly has turned this list into its own website with graphics and continuous updating. George explains: An Effort to List all LP Candidates We Libertarians need to know how many candidates we’re fielding for office. Which states are fielding full slates? no [...]

Back in November, I made the following comments at Loretta Nall Sends Troy King Appropriate Sex Toy: But reasonable people would not include the Alabama legislature, which in is great wisdom passed a law banning dildos, vibrators, and other weapons of mass stimulation. Not content with the law as it stands, Alabama Attorney General Troy [...]

A robber in Texas came into a convenience store, pointed his gun at the clerk’s head and fired. The clerk moved just in time to dodge the bullet, and emerged quickly from behind the counter with her own gun. You go, girl! A Longview clerk showed her mettle for the second time within a year [...]

Sorry folks, been too busy to post. But I thought I’d post this since no one else has yet. Our own Michelle Shinghal on Tucker Carlson, thanks to posts by our fellow blogger Steve Gordon.

Kent McManigal’s longtime girlfriend, Lisa, gave birth to a healthy baby girl at 12:20 pm today. She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz., and is 19 inches long. Her name is Emily Sage McManigal. Isn’t she absolutely adorable? Congratulations, Kent and Lisa, and a big welcome to our very newest libertarian, little Emily Sage!

Okay, nobody else touched this one, so I guess I will. Kasey Kazee of Ashland, Kentucky tried to hold up a liquor store, with duct tape wrapped around his face as a disguise. (Wouldn’t masking tape work better for that purpose? Sorry, couldn’t resist.) The store manager had some duct tape of his own, though, [...]

Since Kent and I are very good online friends, and talk every day (sometimes several times per day) via IM and email but have never met or spoken in “real life”, this was a very big treat for me. After you watch this, you’ll see why I’m proud to call Kent my friend, and why [...]

I have to talk to hundreds of people like this every single day. (Originally posted on my blog and in the Libertarian Survey comments which are still going strong even though it’s on page two now).

First, the American people – or, at the very least Florida SOS Katherine Harris and 5 of 9 Supremely Kangaroo Kort “justices” ruling in a case over which they had zero jurisdiction (2000) and Ken Blackwell (2004) – picked a friggin’ Chimpanzee as POTUS. Twice. Now, it turns out that one of the leading contenders [...]

From ABC News: It goes zero to 60 in about four seconds. Its top speed is 130 miles per hour. And it doesn’t use an ounce of gasoline. It’s the Tesla Roadster, a new car that’s fueled entirely by electricity and could be hitting the lot just in time. Today the Energy Department reported that [...]

H/T Loretta Nall. Fight in the Alabama State Senate! According to Between the Links: Senator Charles Bishop (R-Arley) got a standing ovation for puching Senator Lowell Barron on the Senate floor. I wrote: Dear Editor, I am writing in support of Jason Gatties For Pokagon Tribal Council. Jason stands for both individual and tribal sovereignty. He believes that a truly free people can not take money and services from an occupying state and retain its independence and dignity at the same time. He believes the flow [...]

Since I gave Michelle a hat tip earlier, might as well make it a pair. (It’s easier to get away with staring with my hat tipped low). Something is making me think of Michelle and pairs today. Not sure what that is. Wait, don’t tell me, I almost got it figured out….damn, I forgot again. [...]

One of my favorite childhood memories is a bird taking a dump on a statue of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov “Lenin” just as our tour guide was uttering solemn inanities about the Glorious Leader. Like Comrade Lenin, our own Bushevik apparently believes that imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism. Here is First Comrade Bushling getting [...]

I thought this was just entirely too cool. Jason Gatties, a Libertarian activist in Michigan who comments regularly on LFV, has decided to run for the Pokagon Tribal Council. For those who might be unaware, Native American tribes are sovereign nations, with their own laws and their own government, which makes this even more interesting [...]

I found this over on Stupid Evil Bastard, and was pretty amazed by it. When Rubik’s Cube first came out, I was a teenager (yeah, I know, I’m showing my age with this story, LOL). I bought one with my own money, which I had worked like a dog to earn (back then, I think [...]

Okay, I know a lot of people make their living by doing telemarketing. Even my own son did it for a while (although he absolutely hated it). It’s an honest living, as long as they aren’t doing telemarketing for a scam. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t annoy me, though. My phone number has always been [...]

While meandering around google just a few minutes ago, I found what appears to be a brand-new blog for the 2008 presidential election. It’s surprisingly well thought out, and seems to be trying to maintain a neutral viewpoint. There’s not even a hint of what party affiliation or political persuasion this blogger may have, which [...]

The LP annual report we wrote about earlier is now available online.
